Get the camera high enough to clear livestock and machinery, point the panel at unobstructed southern sky, and keep both clear of overhanging branches that cast shade in summer and drop debris in autumn. Recording, Cloud and Footage Local storage on an SD card keeps everything on-site; cloud backup means a stolen camera doesn't take the evidence with it. Motion-triggered recording is kinder to both your battery and your data allowance than rolling 24/7 capture. PTZ or Fixed? PTZ units pan and zoom across larger areas such as open paddocks or a machinery compound, but they draw more power, so size the solar accordingly.
