Will 4G really be fast enough to run our farm?

For most rural premises, yes. Typical 4G gives 20–50Mbps down and 10–20Mbps up — plenty for the farm office, email, accounts software, card machines and several CCTV cameras all at once, often faster than the copper line many farms are stuck with.

It can. The router shares one mobile connection over Ethernet and WiFi, and you can add WiFi access points or run cable to outbuildings so the signal reaches the office, the kitchen table and the workshop.

Which SIM and network should I use out here?

Any UK data SIM works, and the routers are unlocked so you can pick whichever of EE, Vodafone, O2 or Three covers your land best. For CCTV and remote access we suggest a business SIM with a static IP.

The signal is weak at our site — can that be fixed?
