A solar-powered 4G camera is built for those gaps. It runs on sunlight, talks over the mobile network, and bolts to a post in an afternoon. The catch is that two cameras with near-identical listings can behave completely differently once a Yorkshire November sets in. The difference is in the spec sheet, not the photo. Here's how to read one like someone who's going to live with the camera, not just unbox it. Start with the panel and the battery Everything else depends on the camera staying powered through the darkest weeks of the year. Summer is never the problem. December is. A panel rated at 30W might keep a camera ticking over from May to September and then quietly flatten the battery the first week the sun barely clears the hedge.
